Terms of Service

Last updated: August 30, 2026
In plain terms: the ledger tool runs in your browser and we don't see your bets. Paid plans are billed through Stripe and you can cancel anytime from the billing portal. This isn't tax or legal advice — see the disclaimer below and on every page.

1. What SBCG Tax Experts is

SBCG Tax Experts ("we," "us," "the Service") is a browser-based record-keeping tool that helps people who bet on sports, play casino games, or trade on prediction markets organize that activity into an IRS-style session log, apply the federal 90% loss-cap rule and W-2G thresholds, and estimate the federal and state tax impact of that activity. The Service is a calculator and organizer, not a tax preparer, and does not file returns on your behalf.

2. Not tax, legal, or financial advice

Nothing produced by the Service — session totals, W-2G flags, liability estimates, or anything the support chat assistant says — is tax, legal, or financial advice, and none of it should be treated as a substitute for a qualified CPA or tax attorney. Federal and state tax rules referenced in the Service are general illustrations current as of the "last updated" date above; rules change, your situation may differ, and state-level treatment in particular varies and is simplified here. You are responsible for verifying any number against current IRS guidance and your own preparer before relying on it, including before filing a return.

3. Accounts and eligibility

You need an account (email address) to unlock a paid plan; the account itself only controls which features are unlocked; it does not store your bets or session data (see Section 5). You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.

4. Subscriptions and billing

5. Your data

Your ledger — the bets, sessions, and tax figures you enter or import — is processed and stored entirely in your own browser's local storage. It is not uploaded to our servers, and we cannot see it, back it up for you, or recover it if you clear your browser data or switch devices. The one exception is email auto-sync (beta): if you choose to forward a confirmation email, that email is briefly held on our server so it can be parsed and shown to you for review, then deleted once you add it to your ledger or dismiss it. See the Privacy Policy for details, what account-level data (like your email and billing status) we do hold, and how the support chat feature works.

6. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the Service — that includes attempting to bypass billing, scraping or automating access outside normal use, sending unlawful or abusive content to the support chat assistant, or attempting to access another user's account or data.

7. Service availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available and accurate but don't guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue features (including ones described as "coming soon" or "waitlist" on the pricing page) at any time.

8. Disclaimer of warranties; limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SBCG Tax Experts is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any tax liability, penalty, or interest resulting from reliance on figures it produces. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; the "last updated" date above reflects the current version. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
